Stortford started with a few players in unfamiliar positions - Ellis starting at number 10 for the first time, Murray starting in the front row and Ayo playing as flanker in his first start for the team - but the lads quickly found their feet and responded positively after going behind to an early Eaton Manor try, Freddie O making a strong run and bringing the scores level.
The game continued to be very competitive for the remainder of the first half; another try from Eton Manor was answered by Joe L driving over to level things up again, the first half ending honours even at 10-10.
Stortford started on the front foot in the second half, replacements Sonny, Sam W and Alec coming on to add some fresh legs providing opportunities for Ayo who was quickly rewarded for his hard work in the ruck when he broke free on two occasions using pace and strength to burst through the defense and score the first two tries of his Stortford career, both successfully converted By Paidraig.
It was then Eton Manor's turn to show they were not yet beaten and they responded with two converted tries to once more bring the scores level at 24-24.
Once again, Stortford remained strong and positive and were rewarded with the winning try when Odin made a final charge for the line.
A brilliant performance from every player today and Will Smith was nominated as Stortford player of the match by the opposition.
