We were hoping for a good / friendly but competitive game with our friends from St Alban's and so it was. An opportunity for both sides to play some open running rugby, without the pressures of HML or HERTS Shield progression, meant we managed to involve 24 BSRFC lads and rotated well by our coaches, so all felt worthwhile getting out of bed for the 10.30am Kick-off !
With x80 points in all, for the touchline supporters to cheer on, we held a 33 - 22 lead, with just 10 minutes to go but Old Albanians came back at us hard into the final whistle scoring a couple of excellent tries, with us tiring slightly.
A very useful run-out pre Half Term Holidays and some GCSE Revision.....Then next-up we have Verulamians in SF or County Shield on 4th March, with a win possibly leading to a "re-match" over at Old Albanians on the 29th April'18.
