BSRFC U16B v Braintree U16B

A great mornings rugby and entertaining game against a strong, aggressive Braintree side.

Stortford started the game well, with a front foot forward and the right attitude and a go forward mentality applying pressure early with 2 quick tries and conversions, Braintree came back with a converted penalty and break away try against the run of play, we responded well and put in another couple of tries to bring the score to 19 -10 at half time.

A quick start again by Stortford in the second half saw an early try converted 26-10, We then conceded around 5/7 penalties one after the other, this put us on the back foot and the loss of a player into the sin bin, meant we conceded 2 tries quickly in succession. This meant Braintree got back within 4 points at 26-22 and we were losing the 2nd half 12 points to nil! Stortford showed great character and really dug in with 2 late tries converted making the final score 40-22 and a fine win for Stortford, which with 15 minutes to go looked in doubt!
