A good mornings rugby with a friendly against London Irish U16b. Tough opposition that reside in division 2 of their respective league. Bishops Stortford U16b had a squad size of 27 of which 15 were backs which made for a testing substitution morning but a good trial game for many in the 1st friendly of the season.

A slow start left us trailing 15-0 as London Irish scored 3 unconverted tries, but a late 1st half try from Ben Smith with a quickly taken penalty made the half time score 5-15. Two early second half tries from a strong London Irish side put us up against it but a spirited late period in the second half with with a try from Sevan, converted by Will Price. A break away try from London Irish all but sealed the game for them until we came back again with Ethan scoring a late try with 5 mins remaining made the score final score 17-34. A spirited performance from a large squad size.

All in all some very good rugby against strong opposition.
