A Strong Second Half

Been a while since our last HML fixture and got off to a slow start, falling behind to a converted penalty after the first 10 minutes of exchanges.

Once we'd shaken the cobwebs off, we started to dominate up front and cleared out better than of late, with our forward play leading to a couple of tries / half time lead of 12 - 3.

As the game progressed we found a few more open spaces, with the wind more behind us and some good field positioning helping us get a couple more tries, to Ampthill's one. We started to cough-up some ball latterly and will need to tighten that up for the challenges of Letchworth / Hertford after half term holidays but some good backs play helped us to a couple of late tries out wide to bring a smile to the touchline team.

A good all round team performance but worth calling out both Longaretti and Ige who got a brace apiece today, (with Mitchell and Brian adding 10 points from the boot), helping us to a convincing 40 - 8 victory.
