BS 35 Woodford 8
A convincing win for the Colts, after a slow start in which the team conceded a number of soft penalties. Strong, direct running and good ball handling eventually brought 2 tries in the first half for a 14-3 lead at half time. Better discipline meant that BS dominated posession in the second half and eventually ran in 5 tries, the best of which was scored by Will Powell after a great run and pass from Charlie Kettle. All 5 tries were converted, 4 by Henry Felgate but the best from right on the touch line by Harry Heywood.
Injuries and holidays meant a number of changes from the previous round, so that over 30 players have now been used in the 2 rounds, a great testament to the strength in depth within the squad. The team also included a Colts debut for one of the U16's, Tom Walker, who had an excellent game at full-back.
