A great end to the season for Under 8s

In the A team festival at Watford the BSRFC boys were lifted by a win in the first match and went on to win three and draw one in the pool stage to finish in pole position, qualifying for the semi final against OAs. Despite a valiant effort our boys lost 4-7 to end the day third out of ten teams. The boys played fantastically as a team and showed a mature attitude, receiving praise from other teams and parents for their sense of fair play. A great day's rugby to end the season.

Semi-Final BS Storts 4 OAs 7
Coach's comment: "Up against a very physical side that just edged it for OAs, albeit not strictly fair……".

Coach's comment: "All the boys played so well today, a great team effort. I overheard on a couple of occasions just how well our lads were playing as a team, and playing fairly, which was great to hear from outsiders".

In the B team section the boys got off to a decent start with a close match against Datchworth, but found themselves outpaced at the end with a 4-6 defeat. In the following matches, despite a great team effort and some impressive displays of skills learnt during the season, the boys generally found themselves up against more experienced players.
