U7s win the Upminster A Festival Plate

An early start and a lot of waiting around did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Under 7s at Upminster's 'As' festival today. Three wins in a row in pool A put them on a high, but they were soon brought back down to earth in a tough match against Upminster 1 ending in defeat by a point.

Undeterred they put in another fine performance against Southend in the Plate final, winning by four points to three.

We saw some outstanding play today from the boys which bodes well for the future and should give them plenty of confidence for next week's festival at home.
