Like the night before Christmas, anticipation amongst the U7s (and lets be honest, mums and dads) was high. Their first game representing Bishops Stortford!
Despite Coach Fozzy’s best attempt to convert the kids to “American Rugby” (Flag), the kids did really well picking up the rules of tag as the morning progressed. Well done to the mums and dads that taught the kids the rules during the week - its really important this carries on. As the games went on, they were very much improving their understanding of the rules of tag.
The morning had everything we could’ve wanted to introduce the kids to their first game:
1. Lots of press ups, star jumps and a bit of HITT from coach lippy
2. Lots of tries
3. Not too many forward passes or offsides
4. A bit of rain
5. Great opposition
6. A lot of fun and smiley faces
7. And of course some great sausage rolls! (What a touch that was....)
Special mentions go to Edward, Emily, Oliver and Archie for picking up this week’s awards.
Thank you to the Colchester visiting squad and their coaches for helping make it an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Thank you in particular to Coach Fozzy and Coach Graham for their organisation and prep work during the week.
Harlow away this week - a first local derby to look forward to.
