The Extra A navigated a potential slip up in north London on Saturday with a 29-10 victory that gave no clue as to the gulf between the 2 sides. Bishops Stortford found themselves coasting to 21-0 up after 20 minutes and a rout looked to be on the cards with our forwards giving a solid platform to a rapid set of backs that Finchley couldn't contain. However following disruption to the game when Max Oliver dislocated his shoulder, the wheels well and truly came off. A tricky period ensued with Stortford frustrated by their loss of shape, and the hosts playing with their heads up and a new found confidence.
Stortford didn't really get their act together until the last 5 minutes of the game, scoring a well worked try to at least give the scoreline a respectable sheen. Bring on Fullerians next week!
