The penultimate game of the season is coming up and 4 points needed to secure the league Title. Who'd have thought it possible we could be in this situation, when contemplating 5 years ago the prospect of promotion to National 2 South - a level that many of us thought at the time might be a step too far?!
Nothing can be taken for granted, though and, having been pushed very close that year in similar circumstances down at Exmouth, our players and coaches have been preparing hard, as usual despite the two - week gap between games. Top v bottom and strikingly different form lines mean nothing at this stage of the season and the Stortford squad may well need to dig deep again, as they did last time out against a powerful Redingensians side.
One thing is certain and that is that, despite the distant venue, there will, once again be a massive Stortford turnout on the touchline, who will be doing their best to act as the 16th man. COYB!!
