This week we travel to lock horns again with old rivals, Old Elthamian. Last year's encounters both went to the wire, with the away team snatching wins at the death in both cases and it is unlikely that this encounter will be any easier.
Rather surprisingly, OEs' team last week showed only 6 new faces, including a new tighthead prop and hooker and former London Welsh flyhalf, Carlisle, keeping out last season's acquisition from London Scottish, Will Robinson and Tom White - every cloud.....!
Our hosts did not enjoy their first game at level three, losing out at Esher to a well-organised home side who, by all accounts dominated possession through a combination of 33 unforced errors by the visitors and excellent play at the breakdown. It is unlikely that OEs will be as generous two weeks in a row and Stortford will probably need to produce another 80 minutes' rugby like the first 60 they played last week in their convincing win over Caldy. COYBs!
