1st Annual Charity Touch Tournament

It was a busy Sunday afternoon in BSRFC, alongside the women's match the Touch Group welcomed 5 other teams: Hitchin, Ipswich, Norwich, Upminster, Wixams to  take part in a Touch Tournament in aid of the Presidents Charity.

The matches were very competitive and high paced, rolling subs and a large team helped BSRFC Touch group mantain an advantage we managed to battle through to the Plate final, losing to Norwich Rebels; a dedicated Touch group.

Upminster took the overall win, their great handling and fast paced youngsters saw them take the win in a close final.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who allowed us to put on the tournament and who ensured the usual BSRFC hospitality was extended to all visitors.

We raised £550 and we are delighted to donate this to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
