Standard keeps improving

Resplendent in our new Kit (hopefully photos next week) we ran a quick warm up of simple passing drill which we singularly failed to bring into any of the games!
After a quick discussion on Dummy half play, rules (yes Chris you lost the bet, you owe me £10) and attacking strategy we started to play.

Fantastic energy given by all and we concentrated on attacking play. Most of the night great defence by both sides with 'tour shirts' just holding the line better than Reds, at one stage pinning Reds on their line for a good 5 mins.

That being said individual tries by Martin, he keeps telling me he ran down the line the full length of the pitch I don't remember seeing that, and no-one was willing to corroborate the story. James up for his 3rd week and a bit of a TV Star (watch the red chair on Grahame Norton from last week) did step well and breakthrough for a try.

Adam did a fantastic job of stopping 3 tries in the corner all about to be scored by Rob - unfortunately Adam was refereeing at the time and just kept getting in the way.

Best move and Idiot of the night in a unanimous vote goes simultaneously to Kenny and Charlie. Charlie broke though the slimmest of gaps and put the after burners on, but somehow the defence was closing. Kenny running a great support line called out 'Charlie old boy, looks like one of the younger chaps might just have the legs to catch you - would you mind awfully passing the ball over here as I'll surely be through for an easy try and we can share the accolades'. Charlie being the jealous type then flung the ball about 4ft behind Kenny and in a tantrum screamed 'if I can't score then no one can - especially not you Kenny you untrustworthy type' he then stormed off muttering something about how he's not going to bother 'attending'. I'm fairly sure that is exactly how it happened.

We will be on the Paddock next week - we can set up a full size pitch there. June 10th Royston to visit us in a friendly and dates just released about touch tournaments in Royston and Upminster.

See you next week
