It would have been my Max's 32nd birthday this coming Monday (30th June) and I'd love to be able to buy him a beer.
His memorial 'Just Giving' fundraising page is approx. £800 short of the magical £50,000 figure and it occurred to me that there are probably lots of other people who would gladly donate the price of a beer via the page whilst at the same time wishing him a 'Happy Birthday' to prove that he may be gone but he's certainly not forgotten.
Every penny of the money raised to date has either already been committed to funding CRY screenings within our community, or will be.
We have already held one 'sold out' screening for Max's work friends and their families
Two screenings will be taking place within the next few weeks at his senior school - TBSHS
& Two screenings are booked for next May at BSRFC (screenings are much in demand and get booked up very quickly).
With the monies raised through the considerable efforts of his close friends added to that in the Just Giving account we are just £600 short of being able to fund an incredible 8th Screening. So that'll be 1 completed, 4 booked and potentially 3 more to arrange.
100 young people from within the community that helped create the wonderful young man that Max was, can be screened on each day.
I know many of you have donated generously already and we are of course very grateful to everyone who has helped us raise what we have to date. But these two milestones are within tantalising reach. So please help me achieve them and in doing so potentially prevent another tragic and unnecessary loss.
Please donate the price of a beer (or two), and then raise a glass and wish Max, a very Happy Birthday
