This week sees a huge top of the table clash at Old Elthamians, when we visit the Kent side, standing just one point ahead of us at the head of the league. As if this weren't enough to motivate the Stortford team, smarting after last week's one point loss to a strong Cinderford side, there is a sense of a wrong to be righted in terms of the long ban imposed on Sam Winter after being cited for an unwitting and letter of the law breach - committed in self defence in an attempt to escape from a strangle hold - in the home fixture against OEs back in September.
Our loss against Cinderford needs to be put in context and the fact that OEs managed to prevail at home against a probably slightly weaker Cinderford side (with players now returning from injury) by only a point two weeks before Christmas, highlights how close this Saturday's clash is likely to be. This makes touchline support even more important and there is likely to be a huge contingent traveling down there from Stortford, so, if you are able to get away, come and join the blue and white army!
