24th July

Moley (themole9@hotmail.co.uk)

Well done to Gareth and Woody for organising a very good touch tournament, a great start to the season

17th July

Touch Tournament (touchcomp@hotmail.com)

TOUCH FINALS THIS SUNDAY. PLEASE MEET AT 12.00. FIRST GAME 12.30.

16th July

Wobbler aka Dodgy Ref aka Chicken aka enough (jwoobbler@aol.com)

Final round of matches and more missing in actions. Where is the Wart's stomach. Has he got a tape wart? Hazman, Coleman, Tupman. Is there a link man? More dodgy reffing but a final question for you all out there in rugby land. In answers of no more than 1 word, Why do the roundball team turn up with a full complement in matching shirts each week and give the least back chat to the refs? Discuss

4th July

Moley (themole9@hotmail.co.uk)

Wobbler, merely passing on the message from the under7s that played in my team, did you score that try in a game you reffed, anyway I'm sure it was a storming one, I will be there to ensure all the lads behave this week, and I too reffed the week before, but had no complaints.

2nd July

Wobbler aka Chicken aka etc (jwoobbler@aol.com)

What a night of high emotion at the touch tourny last night. Moley it is ok to put a Community Service team in but at least show up to ensure they keep to their ASBOs. Being a ref is a hard job, particularly when you are found at fault for a reconstructed 2nd row selling an outrageous dummy and scoring from 30 metres. There were several faces missing other than the Mole. No Wart, no DMR and no Hazman (or at least I could not hear him) and what a nicer evening was had by all. Anyway, back to the story about my try.....

7th June

Mark Hogan (m.hogan1@ntlworld.com)

May I give a huge well done to the U10's players and coaches for winning at the home of rugby with a massive squad achievement in the finals for the Nottingham festival on the 28th May, this being my sons first season with Stortford it will be one which he and I a very proud dad will never forget. Bring on September and a new season playing 12 a side, Thank You to all the U10 Coaches.

30th May

Captain Zero (perry.oliver@btinternet.com)

Now that the headache has finally subsided, I would like to congratulate all the Players & coaches of the U10's on becoming the first 'Stortford' team to win outright at the home of English rugby. What a fantastic day !! I think it's fair to say that you put all of us watching from the stands through the mill and couldn't have left it much later to score the winning try - but in hindsight the circumstances of the win will only make the memories live longer! Well done as well, to all the supporters. Undoubtedly the loudest on the day. Next year I expect to see you all in 'Lucky' blazers.

22nd May

Alex (alex@bsc.biblio.net)

Please say I am not banned from another bar?!

22nd May

Tracey (barstaff@woodysbar.com)

It's good job I wasn't working!!! Magnetic darts would've been thrown!! Frankly it's not the behaviour I believe should be encouraged at such a reputable establishment!!

22nd May

Pub Landlord (publandlord@woodysbar.com)

Colenso on a yellow card (no change there) for the dart throwing incident.

I'd also send him the bill for the carpet cleaning costs.........

21st May

Music DJ (MusicDJ@woodysbar.com)

Congratulations to Jake Costello for his selection for the England Universities team that played at Twickenham last weekend. Jake was an integral part of the successful Colts side that won the National Colts Plate competition two years ago.

8th May

Andrew Mumford (mumfords61@btopenworld.com)

BSRFC Under 16's: Congratulations!

What a fantastic season! Promotion to League 1 (Herts & Middx). Two tough wins on Italian Tour against Italian opposition (Bologna U 19's and Ederli RFC Seniors we all think!!) Clean sweep of wins in County 10's Pool - accounting for Welwyn, Old A's, Fullers, Cheshunt and gallant losers (in S/F) to very good Harpenden side (eventual winners of Tournament).

Your Presentation Evening is on Friday 11th May 19:30 at BSRFC. Be there, YOU and your Club deserve this!

Alistair, Phil, Sharon & Andrew would like to extend their thanks to the team, parents, supporters and sponsors of the BSRFC U16's this year. It really is you guys that make difference! Thank you all for your wonderful efforts!

30th April

Mike Maguire (minis Chairman) (mike@scruminthepark.co.uk)

I have sent out various emails thanking those that took part in last weeks Herts minis festival at BSRFC but I know I have not reached you all yet.

GUYS it was a great weekend made all the better by the fact that we had members from all sections of the club supporting the event. You should all be proud of yourselves, the feedback from everyone has been brilliant. Well done. Special thanks to BAA the main sponsor, Connect Scaffold for the staging and Dave Green (PA). Tubby and Gareth, Harriet Wyatt and Sean Carey.

23rd April

Diddy (cabyatt@yahoo.co.uk)

Congratulations to the Third team in winning the Greene King Merit Table Super Premiere Plate at Hitchin on Saturday. We played fast, well disciplined rugby and were a advert for the game. Doing the treble on Hitchin this year.

Well done also to the 5ths for their 11-9, closely contested match with a very strong Black Horse Team. They may be older than most, but our guys really played at some pace in the heat and suprised their opponents with their pace and skill. Great Effort guys!

20th April

Congratulations to the Under 10's on their magnificent performance in qualifying for Twickenham at the Nottigham Festival last weekend. Well done to the 11's too for their hard work, really unlucky to go out in the knockout stage on try countback. Both squads were a credit to themselves, their parents and the club. Well done boys
